Everyone had a great time at the open evening with several new faces and a couple we hadn’t seen in a while. It was actually a struggle to get everyone out when it was time to lock up. Everything worked as planned (once we’d set the clock on the laptop and fitted the right radials to the VHF/UHF mini-collinear). David brought an interesting vertical (sidewinder?) which showed potential but probably suffered from being mounted low and surrounded by buildings. The APRS treasure hunt was a great success and Xian will be writing more about it in the near future as they develop the storyboard.
(NB: We wouldn’t choose to put the website behind a Cloudflare gatekeeper but our ISP is doing it automatically. It’s a feature. Probably)
